Canine ImmunoPro is a scientifically formulated Veterinary Health Supplement that contains a long-chain glucopolysaccharide (Beta-D-Glucan) along with amino acids, colostrum, antioxidants, probiotics, and enzymes, which research has shown can have a positive impact on the Innate Immune System – a dog’s first line of defense against infectious organisms and a key factor in maintaining fitness and health throughout life.
ImmunoPro Provides Proactive Ingredient Support For:
- Immune Health
- Immune Response
- Cellular Protection
- A Strong, Healthy Life
Dr. Barnett’s Recommendations for:
Puppies
There is a serious “Immunity Gap” that occurs between 6 weeks and 3 months leaving Puppies especially vulnerable to infectious organisms and disease due to maternal antibodies decreasing rapidly and their acquired immunity not up to protection levels yet. The Active Ingredients in ImmunoPro can help a puppy’s innate immune system fight off the disease-causing organisms they encounter during this critical “immunity gap” period in their lives.
Adult Dogs
ImmunoPro helps your dog’s innate immune system fight off disease-causing organisms their sniffing, licking, and chewing continually exposes them to. A strong, healthy immune system is the best protection against illness, and Canine ImmunoPro includes an exclusive long chain Beta Glucan ingredient that works to enhance the dog’s innate immune system.
Senior Dogs
Senior dogs become increasingly susceptible to infectious diseases as their acquired immunity begins to gradually decline. Cancer kills an estimated 25 percent of all dogs. In fact, 45 percent of dogs who live past ten years of age will likely succumb to Cancer. Anything we can do to keep senior dogs healthier lessens the chance of their becoming one of the Cancer statistics. Enhancing the innate immune system can help seniors compensate for the decrease in their overall immune system plus a strong innate immune system can go a long way towards eliminating or slowing the progress of any disease including Cancer.
Performance Dogs
The proprietary blend in ImmunoPro helps to protect highly active performance dogs who are frequently exposed to various pathogens and higher levels of stress. ImmunoPro can be a great addition to my foundational veterinary health supplement ProBalance. ImmunoPro is especially important for dogs who are in many different environments and regularly exposed to other dogs and a wider range of disease-causing organisms.
Injured & Recovering Dogs
Canine ImmunoPro can also be greatly beneficial for sick or recovering dogs. It provides a highly patented, long-chain Beta Glucan that revs up the innate immune system, the dog’s first line of defense against all disease-causing organisms.
Pregnant & Lactating Dogs
Maternal antibodies are transferred from mother to puppy in the first few nursing sessions. These antibodies usually begin to wane before the first puppy shots are given. Even then, the vaccinations only protect against diseases like distemper, hepatitis, kennel cough, parainfluenza, and parvovirus. In addition to ProBalance for mom, which can help mom maintain her health and produce quality milk; I recommend that puppies be given my Canine ImmunoPro product starting at 6 weeks of age.
Daily Recommended Dosage:
Directions for Use:
Dosages may be administered once a day or split and provided twice daily. Sprinkle product onto any Canine diet. Mix in or moisten to make a tasty, protein rich broth. To assure freshness and avoid settling, shake periodically, keep sealed, and store in a cool, dry place.
Whenever introducing a new Veterinary Health Supplement to the diet, it is always best to start with half the recommended dosage for the first week.
Canine ImmunoPro is a 100% highly concentrated powder that provides twice the value of capsules, pills or chewable products that require as much as 50% inactive fillers and binders. We avoid those unnecessary ingredients and as a result AVN products do more with less while providing far more servings per container.
Caution: Veterinary consultation is required before using long term and for pregnant or lactating dogs.
Key Ingredients in ImmunoPro
Colostrum
Colostrum contains an array of immune supporting nutrients. A mother’s body will produce a specific type of milk that is highly concentrated in antibodies to help support her newborn pups immune system. This passive immunity can also be gained through supplementation by using bovine colostrum. Colostrum has a specific effect on the gastrointestinal tract as it facilitates balancing of the intestinal microflora, stabilizes the immune status of the gut, and aids in digestion and proper motility of the bowel. Since 90% of all toxins, bacteria, viruses, and fungi enter the body through the gut, it is helpful for it to remain healthy.
Lactoferrin
Lactoferrin is a type of iron-building glycoprotein that provides anti-bacterial activity. It is a component of the immune system responsible for defense at the mucosal level and is crucial to the increase in immune functions in infants who are still nursing. Lactoferrin works to boost immune-balancing T-cells and to increase natural white blood cells, which help regulate the body’s defense against pathogens with antifungal, antibacterial, and anti-viral capabilities.
Beta Glucan
One ingredient that has overwhelmingly been proven to enhance the innate immune system is Beta Glucan, found in the cell walls of bacteria, fungi, yeast, algae, lichens, and some plants and is often used as medication for high-cholesterol, diabetes, cancer, and to boost weakened immune systems. When Beta-Glucan is ingested, it activates the immune cells known as Macrophages, which target, trap, and eliminate foreign substances. Through the activation of Macrophages, the immune system becomes stronger and more responsive to fighting off pathogenic intruders.
Zinc
Zinc is a trace element that is not only an important aspect of overall nutrition but is necessary for a healthy immune system. The body needs zinc to activate T-cells, which help the body by controlling and regulating immune responses and attacking infected or cancerous cells. A lack of zinc can make the body more susceptible to disease and illness, and deficiencies can occur if there is not high enough levels in the diet. Numerous studies have shown that supplemental zinc can help bring a suppressed immune system back to its normal state.
Bifidobacterium
Bifidobacteria are one of the major genera of bacteria that make up the gastrointestinal tract. These vital colonizers are an integral part of healthy and normal microflora existing in the stomach, intestines, and the colon. Bifidobacteria are a probiotic – they are considered ‘friendly’ or good bacteria that can help restore balance to the gut microflora improving the function of the stomach and intestinal tract.
The Innate Immune System
“An Animal’s First Line of Defense”
The Innate Immune System is an animal’s first line of defense against foreign intruders like parasites, bacteria, viruses, yeast, fungus, mold and other cancer-causing agent.
In order for the Innate immune system’s principle defense mechanisms to function properly they require an optimum level of protein along with certain vitamins and minerals such as vitamins A, C, E, and B, as well as the minerals copper, zinc, manganese, and iron.
